We’re off! Europe bound

I’m not a morning person, at all. However, 5.30am this morning, with some motivation from my increasingly sounding alarm and excited boyfriend, we awoke bright and early to start our European roadtrip!

After a 3.45hr foggy drive, we are checked in and ready to go for our 12 o’clock sail.
The last time we travelled on a ferry to France we chose the popular Dover-Calais crossing. With beautiful views leaving the dock and a short sail over its definitely a pleasant journey. However, being situated in Newquay, Cornwall it’s a long drive for us to make so this time round we chose longer sailing time over driving time. Its a 5hr+ sail from Portsmouth to Le Havre but relaxing on the ferry seems much nicer than a long drive.
Plus, there was no chance I would have woken before 5.30am

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Can’t wait to read more about your adventures around Europe. I’m hoping to move to the Netherlands soon as use it as my base to see more of the continent ๐Ÿ™‚
